Paul J. Lanier, DO, is an orthopedic surgeon. He provides both non-surgical care and surgical intervention to help his patients obtain relief from injuries and joint disease and to recover maximum function.

Dr. Lanier specializes in knee, shoulder, arthroscopic procedures and trauma to the musculoskeletal system. Dr. Lanier is board-certified through the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery and is a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgery.

Dr. Lanier attended undergraduate school at Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah. He attended medical school at Touro University Nevada in Henderson, Nevada, and completed his residency at William Beaumont Army Medical Center at Fort Bliss, Texas.

Dr. Lanier combines his approachable personality with his passion for helping others in his orthopedic surgery practice. He selected Orthopedics as his specialty because it is very hands-on. He can assess the problem and then fix that problem with his hands. He is committed both to listening to his patients and offering them personalized medical information to serve them best.

Dr. Lanier lives with his wife and five children in Yermo, California, and is active-duty military, serving as the Chief of Orthopedic Surgery at Weed Army Hospital on Ft. Irwin, California, but also practices through Barstow Health Partners as an independent member of Barstow Community Hospital’s Medical Staff. In his spare time, Paul enjoys spending time with his family, and participating in outdoor activities and sports.
